Former prof on the emergent church movement

I recently stumbled onto a site of a professor who used to teach at KCU (where I attended 3 years.)

Although I never had Dr. Chouinard, many of my friends and my wife seemed to have enjoyed his classes.

HE recently wrote a posting about the emergent church, which I find ver y interesting. So I will quote some of it here and provide a link if you would like to read the full posting.

How Do Emergent Churches Differ from the Traditional Church?

Recently Fuller Theological Seminary missiology professor Ryan Bolger was interviewed about "Emerging Church, Emerging Culture, and Emerging Spirituality". I was struck by Bolger's succinct answer to the question: "Let's talk about the emerging church movement. What is it, and how does it differ from the contemporary church or seeker sensitive churches?" Here is Bolger's response:
