Post #32 New Cult Fashion

It's not just the fact that they are basically just backwards bathrobes. It's not the fact that everyone in the commercial seems incredibly happy to wear one. The reason the Snuggie looks like the uniform of a cult has to do with two specific scenes from the commercial:

The Campfire

For some reason, creepy robe plus fire just screams, "Cult Members Welcome!"

The Game

When everyone around them is able to wear reasonable seasonal clothing and appear comfortable while the creepy family wears their matching bathrobes, there is an unsettled sense of strangeness.

Tell me that those people don't worship a comet, live in a commune, and drink poisoned FlaVor-Aid.
